„THE SILENT WIFE” de A.S.A. Harrison

Orice relație/ mariaj are mai multe fațete și scriitoarea A.S.A. Harrison (care a murit înainte să-și vadă tipărită prima ei carte de ficțiune) a știut foarte bine să ne arate acest lucru în romanul „The silent wife”.

Vă mărturisesc că, atunci cînd am citit cartea, în 2013, fiind și apropiată de vîrstă cu Jodi, am ținut doar cu ea. Și i-am aprobat cu toată inima acțiunea.
Însă acum, șase ani mai tîrziu, îl înțeleg și pe Todd. Și înțeleg de fapt cu cîtă ușurință se destramă o relație/ mariaj atunci cînd partenerii nu își vorbesc cinstit.

Așa cum m-a învățat prietena mea de profesie psihiatră, noi toți jucăm niște roluri în relație/ mariaj și atunci, ceea ce ne spunem sunt niște replici parțial cinstite.

HER = Jodi

„At forty-five, Jodi still sees herself as a young woman. She does not have her eye on the future but lives very much in the moment, keeping her focus on the everyday.
She assumes, without having thought about it, that things will go on indefinitely in their imperfect yet entirely acceptable way.”

HIM = Todd
